I am based in the Naperville, IL & Kenosha, WI area!
How do I book a shoot?
You can book on my website or contact me directly via phone or email. I require a 50% non-refundable retainer fee at the time of booking in order to hold your time slot. I charge this fee so that we are both committed to the time and date selected as I will have to turn away other business for that time slot. If the shoot goes forward on the originally scheduled date/time I will issue a credit equal to the fee towards your total amount due.
What does each session include?
Included in all packages are a phone consultation prior to the shoot to share tips and advice and answer any questions you may have, an online gallery shareable with family and friends, high-resolution digital images with print release, and an option to purchase heirloom quality prints, albums and other products.
How much does it cost for additional time?
Additional time over the scheduled session is at the complete discretion of SJL Photography. I charge $50 for every 30 minutes over the scheduled time, if I have no other scheduled clients.
When is payment due and what methods of payment do you accept?
Session payments are due on or before the day of the shoot. I accept all major credit cards via my website, check or cash. Payments for prints are due at the time of ordering the prints.
How many images will I receive?
Depending on the shoot, anywhere from 15-100 photos.
What is your turnaround time?
I normally will have initial proofs back within a week.
Do I have to buy prints through you?
No, however, for your convenience I have an online store with a professional print lab available for you. The print lab can print your photos, frame them or place them on greeting cards for you and they are delivered directly to your home.
What if I have to reschedule my shoot?
I understand things happen in life that are sometimes beyond our control and I can reschedule for a mutually acceptable time, however you will forfeit your retainer fee unless the reschedule is due to illness or weather related issues.
What if I am running late for my shoot?
Depending on the session chosen and time of day we may simply be able to reduce the time shooting so if you have a 1 hour session scheduled and you are 20 minutes late we would still shoot for the remaining 40 minutes. Reducing the time of the shoot is at the compete discretion of SJL Photography.
